Homemade Larabar Recipe

Homemade Larabar Recipe

It is important to have healthy snacks on hand so that you aren’t tempted to grab something that isn’t.   The trick is to plan ahead,  pre-wash and chop your veggies and lettuce, make double batches of your whole grains like brown rice and quinoa and freeze the other half, these are all great ways to stay on track with your new years resolutions to eat better.  With a little prep and planning it can be just as quick to eat healthy snacks.

Here is one of my favorite snacks to make because:

  1. It is portable
  2. It is fast, no baking, not a lot of ingredients, and doesn’t dirty a lot of dishes making it
  3. They taste really good

I made this video to show you just how easy it is to make energy bars that taste a lot  like Lara Bars at half of the price.

Hi Desiree! Just stumbled across your blog by googling homemade lara bars and realized…I know you! We worked together at Camp WILD, 2006, I think? Anyway, good to “see” you and I’m happy to find your blog. I’ve recently shifted to a (mostly) plant based diet and I’m always looking for new recipes. I’m especially excited to try the lara bars. Thanks! 🙂

Hi!! HOW ARE YOU?? I am so glad that you left a comment, your little girl is adorable I checked out your blog. Camp Wild was so fun, I was just thinking about the river the other day. Switching to a plant based diet is the best. I love the way I feel eating that way.

These lara bars are the best snack, they are so easy, and portable, and they taste really good too.
