How To Make Your Own Gogurts

 

Making your own gogurts is SO simple, affordable, and you don’t get all of the nasty preservatives, high fructose corn syrup, and food colorings.  Did you know some flavored yogurts have more sugar than ice cream! Let me show you just how you can sweeten them naturally with out sugar and make them taste AMAZING. Your kids are going to love this!!! Here is a little template for you to follow to create your own concoctions, and some recipes we have made at our house

Gogurt Template

  • 1 C plain yogurt, I like Greek but you can use whatever plain yogurt you want
  • 3-6 tablespoons sweetener.  This can be anything from pure maple syrup, honey, all fruit jam, or agave.
  • Mixins: frozen berries, shredded unsweetened coconut, bananas, peanut or almond butter, cocoa powder, almond extract, pumpkin puree, apple butter, etc.
  1. Blend and pour into molds.
  2. Freeze hard.
  3. You can eat them straight from the freezer, or take them with you and eat them un-thawed.

Some recipes we make at our house:

Berry Gogurt

  • 1 C plain yogurt (I like Greek yogurt but you can use normal yogurt too)
  • 1 C frozen or fresh berries
  • 3-6 T honey, or all fruit jam (use more or less sweetener depending on how sweet your berries are)
  • 1 tsp vanilla

1. Blend all the ingredients together and pour into silicone molds.  Freeze.

Pumpkin Spice Gogurt

  • 1 C plain yogurt (I like Greek yogurt but you can use normal yogurt too)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
  • 4-6 tablespoons honey, maple syrup, or whatever sweetener you want to use (use more or less sweetener depending on how sweet you like it)

1. Blend all of the ingredients until smooth and pour into silicone molds.  Freeze.

Chocolate Fudgesicle Gogurt

  • 1 C plain yogurt (I like Greek yogurt but you can use normal yogurt too)
  • 2 T cocoa powder
  • 4-6 tablespoons maple syrup-or whatever sweetener want  (use more or less sweetener depending on how sweet you like it)
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • pinch of salt

1. Blend all of the ingredients until smooth and pour into molds.  Freeze hard for fudgsicles!
