Shopping List/ 10 Day Plan For Reboot Cleanse

Here is the menu plan and shopping list that I promised you  for the 10 day reboot cleanse.  I don’t know if I am going to stick to this plan exactly.   I might do green smoothies and juice for the first couple of days, with just juice for five day in-between.  I haven’t tried any of these recipes yet, so I might modify them as I go along with what we like and don’t like.   I have a hard time following recipes exactly, but I will try to  post if I do modify or change things.

We are starting on Monday.  So far we have around 30 people doing it with us! Thank you for all of you who have commented and joined us!  Most of Scottie’s family is on board, as well as my parents. My dad even insisted they take their juicer with them on vacation.  When I called my mom they were at the grocery store trying to find Swiss Chard!   Scottie’s dad is currently on the fence if he is going to do it, I really hope he does.    That was one of the big motivators to do the cleanse was to support him.  But it has to be something that he decides for himself.

We are still going to do the cleanse.  I am actually excited to do it.  I look at this as a refresher.   Cleansing is a good way to reboot your system.  Every time I have cleansed after the first couple of days, which are not so fun, I feel super charged with energy, light, clean, and I sleep better.  After cleansing I have noticed that what I crave is different.  It takes care of sugar cravings for me and I want to eat greens, vegetables, and fruit.  You get your taste buds back, sometimes we get so used to processed foods that you can’t enjoy real food anymore.  An apple isn’t as appealing as an apple pop tart.  If that rings true for you, try cleansing or going off of sugar for awhile.

So here we go.  Here is a rough plan of what we are going to do.  Most of the recipes have come from reboots website.  I tried to choose recipes that have fruit that I can get easily and inexpensively right now.  Feel free to modify it anyway that fits you best.   I am still deciding if we are going to mix it up with green smoothies and juice.

This shopping list is for one person.   Just look at the nutrients you will be getting-16 C of swiss chard in 5 days!!!  I read that 16 oz four times a day is a general guideline to go by.  Drink more if you are hungry, or less if you feel it is too much.  Again I haven’t tried these recipes and am not sure how much they make and how much I will need.  This is a general guideline.

On the Reboot website they have specific plans where you can put in your background information and how long you are looking to cleanse.  They have different cleanses, 10 day, 5 day, 15 day.  Check out the website to come up with a more personalized plan.  I am not following their plan exactly.  They start out with eating salad and fruit.  They then move into just juice for three days, and back to eating salads and other food.  Because we already eat a mostly plant based diet, we are going to just start juicing.  For some that might be a little intense right off.  Go to the website to see what might work best for you.

I will see how it goes and keep you updated.

Note: I am not a doctor, please check with your doctor before you decide to do a cleanse.
