My Favorite Green Smoothie – Pineapple Bliss

Love My Green Smoothies

Here is sweet Skye loving her green smoothie in the morning.   It is such a great way to get greens in little ones that can’t chew them yet. P.s. these are the best cups for green smoothies they have a big enough straw so the smoothie can go through it easily I got them at Target.

This is my favorite green smoothie.  I have to admit some green smoothies turn out like a real treat, most are good, and some you are just getting it down because it’s good for you.  This smoothie always feels like a treat.  Make sure that you freeze all of your fruit for the best consistency.   Skye as you can tell  loves  green smoothies.  Isaiah likes them but I have found drinks a lot more of the green smoothie  if he drinks out of my mason jar (I always pour mine in a mason jar).  I get him his own straw and we both drink it.  I don’t know why but for some reason it always tastes better to him if it is mommies drink.  I also have competitions with him who can drink more. This gets him every time!

What is your favorite green smoothie?

By the way get excited because we have a challenge coming your way involving A LOT of greens!

If you aren’t sure how to freeze greens for a smoothie check out his post.

    Hi Desire,

I’ve been drinking green smoothies for almost 2 years now and I love them. Unfortunately, my kidneys don’t. Just last week I had (and passed) my first kidney stone, and I have another still in my kidney. After a visit to the urologist he thinks my kidney stones are associated with the high amount of oxalates in spinach and the other green leafy vegetables–and I use a lot of greens in my smoothies! I’ve decided to cut back some on the amount of greens I use and increase my water intake to remedy this situation.

Have you heard of situations similar to this?

    Carl

Carl- I am sorry I have not heard of that. I will have to look into it more for you. Your plan of drinking more water sounds like a good one. Sorry I am not a doctor just someone that loves all things healthy. If I can find any more info for you I will post it here.

Dr. John Christopher, in his classic text The School of Natural Healing, lists over seventy herbs, in a category called “LITHOTRIPTICS” which he describes as “Herbs that dissolve or discharge urinary and biliary concretions (gravel or stones) when formed in excretory passages”

Eighty percent of all kidney stones are composed of calcium, either oxalate or phosphate. This is caused by eating an acid diet, mainly composed of animal based foods and highly refined carbohydrates. With a high acid diet the body, in order to protect the Ph. levels of the blood (7.35-7.45), will use the eliminative organs to release acid, produce bi-carbonate to buffer the acid and have the lungs release more co2. When all other options are used, the Para-thyroid produces a hormone which releases calcium from the bones with the purpose of absorbing and neutralizing the acids to bring the Ph. back to normal levels. These acid- calcium compounds cannot be reabsorbed into the bones. Because the body desperately needs calcium it will not release these compounds and they build up in the blood. They deposit in weak areas of the body, then go on to form stones and bone spurs.

Dr. Christopher left us with a wonderful procedure to get rid of these stones and bone spurs. For the readers convenience I have modified the preparation, not the content:

1.) For stones, add two droppers-full of Dr. Christopher’s Hydrangea root extract to 1/2 cup of apple juice and drink hourly until the pain is gone. To make it more specific for kidney stones add four drops of Dr. Christopher’s Kidney formula to each cup of Hydrangea infused apple juice. (This procedure usually works within a day or two.)

2.) For bone spurs, add two droppers-full of Dr. Christopher’s calcium formula extract and two droppers-full of the Hydrangea root extract to a cup of apple juice and consume three cups a day until the spurs are gone. (The procedure may take one to two months)

3.) Gallstones are generally composed of bile that has solidified into stones. One tablespoon of olive oil and one table spoon of lemon juice can be consumed hourly for these types of stones. An old folk remedy is to drink nothing but apple juice (hourly) for three days, first thing on the fourth day take 1/2 cup of olive oil and lemon juice and lay down on your left side. The stones will then be dumped into and eliminated through the bowels.

For prevention eat a mucusless diet and use the cleansing herbal formulas.

Do you have any suggestions on a sub for the pineapple? One of my daughters is allergic to pineapple, but I would love for her to try the smoothie! Thanks!!
